Niykee continues to write songs, even though she has been swept up in the latest chaos. Niykee was selected for this year's YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee has a constant eye on the many beats that are being sent to her. She has found that the majority are a source of new song ideas. In just 5 minutes when I'm able to determine if a particular beat is worth it. Then I am able to see the concept of a whole song in my brain and I begin to compose. When I am playing my guitar outside on my porch the words begin to flow. A majority times, it's completed in just thirty minutes. The pain of Niykee's childhood is a constant source of motivation as she grows as an author. It's tough to forget memories that are painful from my youth, especially the loss of my sister. They end up being included in her songs. The memories influence my songs and builds this deeper significance behind everything that is among the most significant things for me. I want to be able to say that I can hear any of my songs 20 years later and feel proud of the things I had to say.
